Parents - it is important that you read ALL of the following: RTGSA participates in two leagues during the Fall Ball Season. The primary league is the Recreational Fall Ball program that is hosted by Aliso Viejo and other local cities participate as well (Mission Viejo, Capo and Laguna). The primary purpose of Rec Fall Ball is a continuation of Spring Softball emphasizing fundamentals and skill development. Fall Ball Teams can only be formed based on the number of volunteers to coach teams. We will do everything we can to ensure all the girls that sign up for Recreational Fall Ball will be placed on a team. Each week there is only one scheduled game typically played on Sunday - Teams are selected by mid August. The Season begins after Labor Day. The other league RTGSA participates in is the Orange County Fall Ball Federation - or Fall "Selects." This program is classified a "Travel Program" by ASA. There are a limited number of "Selects" teams RTGSA sponsors and will be formed by invitation only - there is no open registration. Coaches are allowed to invite players registered for Recreational Fall Ball as long as they have played in the RTGSA 2009 Spring Season. Players on the "Selects" teams should expect to pay approx $250 (these costs have not been determined). The following are links to the documents supporting both leagues: Recreational Fall Ball Guidelines - RTGSA Fall Selects Guidelines - RTGSA OC Federation Fall Rules - 2009 Any questions can be directed to the Fall Ball Director at fallball@rtgsa.org.
